The Chocolate March

We got a call from my dad asking us if we had seen the groupon that was for a Chocolate March. It looked like it would make a great date so we decided that it would be fun and ordered it for a weekend we had open. Dad and mom decided it looked fun too, so they got it for the same weekend so we could double date!

We weren't quite sure what to expect. We knew we had 5 stops and they were B&B's in Wisconsin. We knew where they were located and that they all had chocolate at every stop. That's all we knew.

We got to pick the order we went to the B&B's so we had it all mapped out for the easiest way to go. After church we headed over to Hudson for our first stop. The first place we went was actually a museum called the Octagon house. As you can guess, it was Octagon shaped house, beautiful, with the history of who lived there and what life was like for them. It was pretty interesting. The next four stops were all B&B's. We took a tour of the B&B and then they would have some type of dessert for us at the end of it.

All of the bed and breakfasts were completely different. Some really fancy and others just houses converted to a B&B and one that we were happy to see because we'd never want to stay there. However, the hosts seemed really sweet! We visited the Phipps House, Pheasant Lake, St. Croix River Inn and Escape By the Lake . My favorite for both rooms and food was St. Croix River Inn. The Phipps House was my second favorite. I would stay at either of those any day/night...(hint hint Arlie ;))

We stayed at the Phipps! It was fantastic! But I wouldn't go back - I'd rather keep trying something new. If I had never been, I would definitely go though!
