Family is awesome!

I love our extended family. We have been blessed with great family members on all sides and we adore anytime we get to spend with them. Arlie's Aunt and Uncle were celebrating an anniversary and we got invited to the party along with several other family members. It was in St. Cloud at a Sushi and Hibachi grill (hmm.....that sounds like a good place to go :) ). We went right from work and the weather was crazy! We couldn't decided if it was ok to travel or not. Some of the clouds looked like they were a bit on the dangerous side.


One of arlie's cousins got stuck becuase of flash floods in the uptown area. Arlie is a great driver and we only hit one spot were it was raining too hard to see, which only lasted a couple of minutes. We made it safely. We heard that some of the worst weather was right over Blaine. We did text our neighbors to make sure our house was still standing...thankfully it was! When we arrived, Arlie's aunt from Georgia was there as well as several cousins and aunts and uncles. We had a great time chatting with everyone and ended up going back to Little Falls for dessert just so we could spend a little more time with everyone. It's always worth the drive time to get to hang out with family!

This is what you get when you're bored in a car on the way home...seeing what the lights on the highway look like if you hold out for a long exposure on your camera :)
