The van

Back in December, our van broke down. It cost more to repair it than the van was worth. This forced us to have to decide to put more money into it or to try and get another vehicle for the same cost of fixing it. We opted for the second option since the van seemed to be a never ending money pit. The funny part: the kids were traumatized. They LOVE the van and were so sad to not be able to drive in it. They couldn't stop talking about it and how much they missed it. They made me take pictures of them with the van so they could always remember it. It's been a good lesson on how "things" shouldn't be that important to us. I find it incredibly funny, although I don't tell them that, that they care that much about the van. It has been an huge adjustment getting used to two small cars instead of all the room the van has. We are very thankful that we at least have something to drive!
